Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs chairs 1st Leadership meeting of 2023
"His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Mehrezi, the Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department, chaired the first Leadership meeting of 2023, which was attended by the Deputy Director General of the Department and the Assistant to Director General for Customs Operations, amongst other managers of the internal departments and customs centers.
His Excellency started the meeting with a warm welcome to the attendees and expressed wished all participants a happy new year that is full of achievements and progress. He then explored the new organizational chart of Ras Al Khaimah Customs and the most recent internal departments and offices that were introduced within the new chart. Additionally, the meeting went through other topics that were listed on the meeting agenda, including the most notable achievements and projects of 2022 and the upcoming promising projects for 2023. Al Mehrezi was also briefed on last year’s most important statistics and figures in relation the local customs centers, movement of foreign trade, in terms of imports and exports, and a further comparison with those of 2021. Internally, the outcomes of the job satisfaction and customer happiness surveys were on the table of the meeting, in addition to the recent updates about the comprehensive economic partnership agreements (CEPAs) recently put into effect.
Al Mehrezi was briefed on the new tasks and responsibilities of the Intelligence and Customs Risks Office, its best practices, key performance indicators (KPIs) and the expectations pursued by the office in 2023.
At the close of the meeting, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mehrezi praised the level of achievement that has manifested itself at the level of internal departments and customs centers. He also applauded the care given by the senior management and customs staff to professionally effecting the departmental action plans and constantly providing more visions and perceptions for the future."
