“Ras Al Khaimah Customs” celebrating the International Customs Day
"Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department organized the “International Customs Day” event under the umbrella of the World Customs Organization’s celebrations of the International Customs Day, which comes each year on 26th January. The celebration this year has been held under the slogan “Nurturing the Next Generation: Promoting a Culture of Knowledge-sharing and Professional Pride in Customs.”
The event started by graduating the 8th batch of ‘Assas’ induction training course held for the Department’s new recruits, before opening of the associated Customs Exhibition, where new customs inspection equipment and devices, in addition to various seizures, were on display.
The opening of the International Customs Day Exhibition was attended by Marwan Mohammed Doorbeni, Assistant to the Director General for Customs Operations, and a number of managers of internal departments and Customs centers, customs employees and invitees from the Department’s strategic partners.
Throughout the event, visitors to the Exhibition were briefed on the development of the professional and technical training chain, as well as the development of enablers at the local customs centers in terms of the strength of departmental human resources and the advancement of technical devices that assist in carrying out various customs task and roles.
The Assistant to Director General for Customs Operation highly commended all participating entities and strategic partners, most notably the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security and SABA Intellectual Property, for their participation and consistent support for better serving the UAE."
