Ras Al Khaimah Customs intercept a passenger who attempted to smuggle a quantity of narcotic pills

Ras Al Khaimah Customs successfully intercepted a person arriving in Ras Al Khaimah International Airport from an Asian country in a narcotics smuggling case.
Inspectors at Ras Al Khaimah Airport Customs managed to seize a significant quantity of narcotic pills, which amounted to 470 pills, in the possession of the intercepted passenger.
The foiled attempt was due to the high security sense that inspectors from Ras Al Khaimah Customs master. The inspectors suspected the behavior of the passenger and subjected him and his effects to manual inspection and search of person, which led them to find the seized narcotics.

Within the framework of joint coordination between Ras Al Khaimah Customs and the Anti-narcotics Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, the passenger, together with the seized items, was handed over to the police. The Anti-narcotics Department expressed their thanks and gratitude to the inspectors of Ras Al Khaimah Customs for the significant role they play, praising their high security sense and their firm commitment to maintain security and safeguard the society from the scourge of narcotics. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mehrezi, the Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs, reiterated that customs will continue their efforts to encounter the risks associated with smuggling of narcotics and all other prohibited items through the customs posts of the Emirate.
