Ras Al Khaimah Customs roll out three electronic services in the ‘UAE Innovates’ Week
"His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Mehrezi, the Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department, launched a fresh package of electronic customs services, namely the Renewal of Deposit Receipt, Deletion of Customs Transactions and Management of Facility Account. Additionally, a revamped edition of the Knowledge Management portal for internal use of departmental staff was also inaugurated in conjunction with the ‘UAE Innovates’ Week of 2023.
The Information Technology (IT) team at the Department made a significant and intensive endeavor to finalize the transformation of the three service into the electronic format in order to minimize the time the customer journey may take, boost and facilitat the customs procedures. At the institutional level, the transformation was also intended to raise customer satisfaction, eliminate the need to visit the local customs centers, improve the Information Technology enablers and enhance communication between the Department and customers.
Al Mehrezi added that these improvements and the newly activated services will definitely improve aspects of cooperation between the Department and both partners and customers by electronically linking and integrating procedures jointly completed between the Department and the other relevant entities.
He also pointed out that all of this was aimed to achieve the UAE Vision, particularly in respect of the provision of integrated, sustainability-based services, future foreseeing, and launch of creative initiatives and innovative projects that are in alignment with the policies, directives and plans adopted by our prudent leadership."
